I’m definitely a ‘games’ man. Some people have labeled me as ‘obsessive’ at times – I guess those weekend binges on the ‘Age of Conan’ provide enough evidence to that statement. I know that I’m not alone though. The game I want to talk about – ‘Age of Conan’, has been a huge success worldwide.

 I have been visiting the land of Hyboria to commence in battles and explore the vast world of King Conan for quite some time. I have gone as far as getting my friends hooked too, so we can unite on this monolithic, online role-playing game. For anyone who hasn’t yet taken the plunge, I strongly recommend it. ‘Age of Conan’ is an open ended fantasy game where you can customize your fictional character to be unlike any other, build your own weapons or even your own city! The possibilities are limitless.  

As much as I love this game, it would be a lie to say I never got frustrated, or even lost in its vastness. I am quite accustomed to it all now and can enjoy it as it should be enjoyed. It was after a few weeks of shouting obscenities at the computer screen, that I discovered life could be a hell of a lot easier by equipping myself with a guide. You see, the thing is, I have often felt in the past that guides are just a way to cheat the system. I avoided them like the plague because I thought I was admitting to failure. It wasn’t until one day, a good friend let me take a gander at a new guide he had just  gotten.  Here is a link to the guide

 The directions in the game itself can be pretty lame at times. I found that the guide enhanced my play with its well devised color maps and quest paths. It provided me with the information I so desperately needed to maximize my character and dominate my server. Rather than wandering aimlessly around levels, I started to fly through them with ease.   For the record, ‘Age of Conan’ is an awesome game, but you would be doing yourself a huge favor by checking out what the guide has to offer. I’ve never looked back. I’ll see you on the battlefield!

Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures: What Are The Different Classes?

To help sort out the character classes for you, here is a quick guide that will explain some of the attributes of the each class.

 

Conqueror: These characters are muscular soldiers able to utilize battle auras and cries to make up allies, & mock the rivals. They are able to contest wield arms, plus utilize full-size two handed guns.

 

Guardian: These Age of Conan Characters are the major ‘tank’ class in Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures. They provide the heaviest full plate, shield & can obtain a huge deal of harm. They can even deal a big deal with rivals in melee. Their powerful combos are known all through Hyboria.

 

Dark Templar: These characters can utilize a mixture of weighty shield, dark magic and fighting skills to strike their rivals. Their magic charm can take time from their opponents and support their own.

 

The Age of Conan Mage Classes Are:

Necromancer: These Age of Conan Characters also call legions of dead people to destroy their rivals. They have a few good magic spells & can even turn into a devil at higher levels. Like the ‘Demonologist’ they are restricted to silk armor or cloth, & daggers & thrown missiles.

 

Demonologist: it is the toughest wizards in Hyboria. Their battle magic’s are dreaded and unmatched by all. They can also call servants from a nightmare to perform their command. However they are restricted to silk armor or cloth only, & can’t mitigate harm well.

 

Herald of Xotli: A type of fusion mage. Plus a huge array of magic spells, they can provide huge two sided sword if they stop of their magic spells. This is a outstanding class if you want to utilize atrocious sword magic and combos together. They are limited to silk armor or cloth, & can’t moderate harm well.

 

The Age Of Conan Hyborian Adventures Priest Classes Are:

Priest of Mitra: These characters have the strongest healing magic curse & they are the factual priest. They are capable of destroying their rivals with holy harm, heal & tainted rivals. On the other hand they are restricted to light lower or light shields, but can supply blunt weapons and sword.

 

Bear Shaman: The most strong of all Priests, capable of equipping average armor. They are also able to provide huge 2 handed sharp weapons to destroy their rivals. They can even heal or save their partners. ‘Bear Shamans’ can also provide crossbows or stoops for added hold up.

 

Tempest of Set: These characters are like ‘Priests of Mitra’ & can cure & use a range of one handed rounded or swords. They also even wield supernatural talismans in the structure of the sculptures and tomes of eliminate devils. The toughest armor they also provide armor.

The newAge Of Conan Guide launches!

This is a site for AOC players that will get better with age as more and more usable info is added. My hope is that it will eventually become your favorite Conan guide. Lets start with some basic Age of Conan background.
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
is a huge and addictive (in a good way) multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) published by Eidos Interactive. It began on May 17, 2008.

Hyborian Adventures is the first part of an Age of Conan rpg series. It takes place in the continent of the Hyborian kingdoms, and is loosly based on Robert E. Howard’s Conan novel, The Hour of the Dragon.
AOC Characters:
 Hyborian Adventures are created on your account on a specific online server. Characters that are created on one server cannot play on another. Players create characters which become their virtual avatars in the online world of Hyboria. A character can be  from any of three playable races. The character is one of four archetypes, and one of three class selections for each archetype.

The Hyborian Age Setting:
Age of Conan is set in a low fantasy, pseudo-historical ancient world called the Hyborian Age. The warlord Conan has seized the throne of Aquilonia, but ancient evils seek to overthrow him. Conan maps guide you through the multitude of adventures.
